Dr. Miguel Cardona, U.S. Secretary of Education, has awarded St. Mary of the Assumption School a National Blue Ribbon School 2024! The National Blue Ribbon Schools Program recognizes public and private elementary, middle, and high schools based on their overall academic excellence or their progress in closing achievement gaps among student subgroups. Every year the U.S. Department of Education seeks out and celebrates great American schools, demonstrating that all students can achieve to high levels. This year 356 schools from all around the United States, nine from Massachusetts, were rewarded with the 2024 National Blue Ribbon School award.
There was a viewing party for the announcement of recipients at the school. The school admin team was joined by members of the parish office staff, Father Jonathan, and the Archdiocese’s Catholic Schools superintendent, Eileen McLaughlin.
This award is a reflection of the dedication, hard work, and collaboration of our entire school community. St. Mary's School is so grateful to receive this honor.
