On Ash Wednesday the special collection is for Catholic Charities of Boston. Catholic Charities helps thousands of families and individuals within our own communities who are facing critical challenges—homelessness, food insecurity, poverty, lack of affordable childcare, access to education and job training, legal advocacy and support for refugees and immigrants—to help achieve stability and reach self-sufficiency.
Cardinal O’Malley has called all members of the Archdiocese to help alleviate the distressing humanitarian crisis building in Massachusetts regarding families in need of shelter and compassionate care. Catholic Charities has answered that call by doubling our shelter capacity and working to provide legal assistance and interpreters to families living in state-run shelters as well as connect newcomers to English classes and job training opportunities, yet the needs are complex and continue to grow. Any amount directly helps our neighbors in need. For more information, visit ccab.org/donate. Thank you for your support.
