In April 2024, Cardinal Sean O'Malley lowered the age of confirmation from Grade 10 to Grade 8. Over the next three years, our two-year confirmation preparation program, formerly for Grades 9 and 10 culminating in confirmation at the end of Grade 10, will transition to start in Grade 7 with confirmation conferred at the end of Grade 8.
Beginning in the 2024-2025 school year, in addition to 9th graders, 8th graders will be able to start their confirmation preparation and be confirmed in 2026. So we are delighted to invite our 8th grade parishioners to start their confirmation prep this upcoming school year along with our 9th grade parishioners. Confirmation classes meet on most Sunday afternoons from 3:30 to 5:20 followed by the 5:30 p.m. Mass during the school year. (Attending Mass is part of the requirements for this class.) Go to our Confirmation Preparation webpage for more detailed information.
Registration for all Religious Education classes opens around mid-August.
