Brazil is suffering from tremendous climate change and rain and from large scale human needs: More than 600,000 people displaced from their homes; 450 cities impacted; many people missing with the death toll now approaching 150 people. Cardinal Seán has asked that a special collection be taken in all parishes in the Archdiocese for Church relief efforts in Brazil. Funds raised will support Catholic Relief Services which works with Caritas Brazil, an agency of the Church in Brazil. It would be most helpful to us if you give online if possible and use our website’s online donation form choosing the earmark Disaster Relief. To give by check, please make your check out to St. Mary’s Parish with “Brazil Relief” written on the memo line. Thank you for your support and for your solidarity with those who are suffering.
